Do Not Dilute Medical Education

Delhi high court recently directed MCI(medical council of India) to finalize the curriculum for BACHELOR OF RURAL HEALTH CARE(BRHC) within 6weeks who will practice as physician in rural areas..MCI is opposing the introduction of this course (which is of only 3 and ½ years) in health sector...and yes, this should be opposed..just because there are less number of doctors in rural area, you can not bring a low standard course and subsequently low-standard treatment for rural people...the solution is 'develop good infrastructure in rural hospitals for patient's benefit, try to bring all diagnostic techniques in rural area, increase the salary of medical and paramedical staffs in rural area, increase the seats in existing course of medical education, then there will not be any shortage of doctors in rural area'...otherwise mere introduction of a new 3years course is just going to dilute health sector...then people can also argue about same shortage of engineers, teachers, social workers, lawyers etc etc in rural areas...so bring BACHELOR OF RURAL ENGINEERING(BRE),BACHELOR OF RURAL BUISNESS ADMINISTRATION(BRBA),BACHELOR OF RURAL SOCIAL WORK(BRSW),BACHELOR OF RURAL EDUCATION(BRED)..and the list goes on...and finally rural people are generally less fashion conscious(as urban people say),so lets bring the course BACHELOR OF RURAL FASHION DESIGNING(BRFD):-):-)...now everyone will say that  last few lines sound very funny...so the same logic applies to medical education....so please do not dilute the medical education.

TEACHERS' DAY SPECIAL.....OUR SWEET SCHOOLDAYS AND A SALUTE TO TEACHERS..

So,here i m going to share the moments that i believe most of my schoolmates will also like to share.ya i m talking about my schooldays.JNV KARIMGANJ a residential school, another home for me where i grew up frm class six to class 12....i miss my those days a lot.we developed our skills in every field there...the TEACHERS were very friendly....strict at study time, but they were like us at other time...playing cricket with us.having fun with us....ya at times we were rude...but they never showed their ego during study hours,we respect them a lot,we used to disturb them anytime, remember there r no private tutions in navodaya, our teachers were only our tutors throughout 24hours,though we have fought with them also over some matters at times, but we mutually used to solve, sometimes we were punished also, but they always used to say that nothing will hamper any interaction about study between us,they never showed their sentiment on marks...we enjoyed a lot there.the routine was just like....wake up at 4.30am to 5am,physical exercise at 5.30am,morning tea at 6.30am,7.30am mrng assembly, then 2 classes, then breakfast, then again 3 classes ,then biscuit or banana break, then again classes...after that 1.30pm lunch, then 2pm to 4pm tutorial classes, then evening games period for one hour, then evening tea, then 2 hours of self study, then dinner...then optional study...or sleep...saturday evening CCA...THEN CLUSTER MEET,REGIONAL MEET of games, quiz, debate, speech, song, dance etc etc ...our parents used to see us once in evry month(that was rule)...but we never felt loneliness there...becoz teachers were like our parents....all students were under one roof...there was very good relation between our seniors and juniors.we laughed, cried, studied, played, fought as a group, there was so much of unity amongst us...not only among students, but also among students and teachers...teachers were from different states of India....but ther were one thing in common...i.e.unity in diversity....this note is to salute all the teachers..i really miss Sir S.K.Singh.Sir B.K.Singh,Sir N.K.Sinha.Sir A.K.Singh,Sir S.S.Boral....and i miss all my friends, juniors, seniors, all associated with the school....given another chance,i would like to get readmitted in navodaya...though practically it is not possible......

THE INERTIA OF LIFE.....

Simple thought, but practical….and we all know this…still I thought of typing these words here…We all have the inertia of sleep when we are out of work, I mean when we are at home…the inertia increases more on off days and holidays…when Saturday comes everyone is happy because of weekends…some  will be sleeping, some will be shopping, some will be in short tour, some will be spending time with family….but some will still be working amongst all these….and when Sunday night comes the palpitation of another Monday, another week begins….and that’s a vicious cycle….and the irony is that we initially enjoy the cycle, but when we become used to this cycle, we get bored, we start complaining, then we again go into the vicious cycle  ….and this inertia of work, inertia of study,  inertia of sleep, inertia of week days, inertia of weekends continue……but these all are interrelated….this applies to all aspects of life….there is no escape…..and this is inertia of life…..

OUR MINDSET---THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION AND THE COST OF EDUCATION...

Cost of education is a major concern even in present days…yes it will be of  more concern in the near future…but who are responsible for this…we blame politician,we blame private sectors,we blame standard of education in govt school, and we blame everyone….but excluding us….have we ever thought that we are also responsible for this?????yes…we are equally responsible for this….I have seen people, rather its amongst us ,they think there will be some special development among students if they are admitted in private schools….I agree that these days govt schools are not not up to the mark, not able to give quality education…but its because of their limitation…or in some case because of some negligence….it might be that they are not getting the remuneration that probably they are expecting, then many other factors  do work,…govt schools  are not getting enough infrastructure……but if we look at the background ,then probably we will find out that some of the very top professionals come from poor family, and they get education in govt schools and at reasonable cost….so I believe its in our mindset that we developed already that without money ,probably education is difficult….but I believe if we work upon our mindset, our plan..then education is still affordable at reasonable cost….lets organize our mindset, that it’s our mind that guide our plan…but being said so I do agree also that private institutions  give quality education with quality infrastructure….but if we can get quality infrastructure from authority in govt schools and if we can organize our mindset, and if we  convince ourselves that we can have quality education at reasonable cost….then probably it will be a much more optimistic approach…courtesy--my comment on education is insurance's(in facebook)status"Cost of education will be a major concern in near future"...thanks to the "education is insurance team" for bringing important topics like these in discussion.
